Woodworking with a purpose

The name Four Letter Woodworks was inspired by 1 Corinthians chapter 6, where the apostle Paul lists the many reasons why we, as sinners, should not inherit the kingdom of God — and then reminds us, “And such WERE some of you. But you WERE washed, you WERE sanctified, you WERE justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God” (v. 11). That FOUR LETTER word serves as a powerful and beautiful reminder that we are not perfect, yet God is actively transforming and reshaping us into something renewed and whole. That truth is deeply personal, and it is also the guiding principle of our workshop. We take wood that is blemished, or previously finished pieces labeled “broken” or “undesirable,” and we lean into those imperfections, highlighting the character and craft to create something new and beautiful from them.

What began as a casual curiosity in high school shop class gradually grew into a genuine passion. By 2013, woodworking had become something I could envision as a full-time calling, and in 2014 I launched my first business, continuing to learn, refine my skills, and grow in my knowledge of the trade.

Now, I strive to make pieces that will last generations, becoming heirlooms for future sons and daughters. Every decision and action is made deliberately and with care, keeping quality and longevity in mind.
